Patients, patient-advocates, caregivers, friends &amp; family are all welcome to create an account.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<\/li>\n<li><b>Does FastTrek.org charge for the services they provide?<\/b>\n<ul>\n<li>All resources, services, and information provided by FastTrek.org comes at zero cost (FREE) for all users. We do, however ,request that you create a free, anonymous account to access the personalized reports and FastTrek TrialTracker.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<\/li>\n<li><b>Will my identity stayed protected if I create an account?<\/b>\n<ul>\n<li>Please feel free to use any alias you like.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<\/li>\n<li><b>Does FastTrek.org provide medical advice?<\/b>\n<ul>\n<li>No, all the information provided by FastTrek.org should be shared in a consultation with a doctor or specialist. FastTrek.org does not provide any medical advice or care. It simply provides a user with all their options.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<\/li>\n<li><strong>How are the clinical trials sourced?<\/strong>\n<ul>\n<li>We source from Clinicaltrials.gov<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<\/li>\n<li><b>I need additional assistance using the FastTrek TrialTracker&#x2122;, who do I contact?<\/b>\n<ul>\n<li>support@FastTrek.org<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<\/li>\n<li><strong>Why should I consider clinical trials?<\/strong>\n<ul>\n<li><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">Clinical trials can most-often be considered cutting-edge medicine. \u00a0Right now, thousands of clinical trials with the potential to prevent, cure, extend prognosis, or enhance the quality of life for patients are happening all around the world. \u00a0Think about the advancement of technology in the last 10 years \u2013 smartphones, tablets, facebook &amp; twitter, blockchain, Watson, AI, supercomputers that could\u2013 and did\u2013 map the genome\u2026<\/span><\/li>\n<li>Now, imagine the medical advancements that could be made with the synthesis of that technology and that advancement of understanding of what makes up the body. \u00a0The medicine that is coming out these days is the synthesis of these advancements. We are on the cusp of many medical breakthroughs.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<\/li>\n<li><b>Doesn\u2019t this seem backwards? \u00a0You are giving me information to bring to my doctor or specialist? \u00a0Explain.<\/b>\n<ul>\n<li><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">Due to the rapid advancement of medicine\u2014 among other reasons\u2013 the only trials specialists typically bring up are the one(s) available at their particular hospital (and most hospitals don\u2019t have too many). \u00a0<\/span><\/li>\n<li><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">It makes sense. \u00a0You don\u2019t expect the chef at your favorite Italian restaurant to know the menu at your favorite Mexican place down the street. \u00a0One needs to go there to get the menu.<\/span><\/li>\n<li><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">It is the same way with hospitals and clinical trials.<\/span><\/li>\n<li><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">Doing the legwork for the doctor makes the doctor\u2019s job easier. \u00a0Bring them a report and allow them to review it with the patient. \u00a0They may find that some of the options would be good a good fit.<\/span><\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<\/li>\n<li><strong>Are you guys in the pocket of big pharma?<\/strong>\n<ul>\n<li><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">FastTrek was created by a patient, a caregiver and a recent college graduate with a degree in international health promotion and an acceptance into the peace corps. \u00a0We created this with the intent to help others receive the best care possible. We believe in the power of clinical trials; we have not been paid to have this view.<\/span><\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<\/li>\n<li><b>Where does my money go when i donate?<\/b>\n<ul>\n<li><b><\/b><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">Our services are 100% free. \u00a0We run a lean organization, but a few folks are needed to make it work. Since our inception and as of 2022, we pay no salaries to any board members or any full time staff. All operations are run by volunteers. Funds go to enhance user experience through technology\/coders, to run the site, and to get the word out. Your donations help people find answers they are searching for. Thank you!<\/span><\/li>\n<li><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">We also dedicate a piece of our budget to advertising. \u00a0Our ads are created in-house by Nick Cardi III, who does not take any pay. \u00a0We do pay to micro-target folks searching for information about the diseases we currently cover and their respective treatments. \u00a0When people are thrust into this world, it can be overwhelming.
